The Ponds Fishing Day

Saturday June 14th. Come join us for this fun day at the ponds for some fishing. As always it's held on the same weekend as Fathers' Day. Register at the Hall.

The Ponds is located on Queensville Side Road. Drive north on Hwy 48 to Queensville Side Road and follow the signs to the Ponds.

Annual IBEW Golf Tournament

Will be held on June 14th, 2008 at the Braeben Golf course in Mississauga. 5700 Terry Fox Way, 1/2 Km west of Mavis Road on Terry Fox Way, just south of Britannia Rd.

The cost, which includes: golf, cart, dinner and prizes is $75.00. Registration list is now FULL. But don't hesitate to place your name on the waiting list.

Wally Majesky Bursary

Sponsored by the Labour Temple

A bursary in the amout of $1000.00 will be awarded to a college or university student who is the child or grandchild of any member of an affiliate of the Labour Council.

The award will be based on an 800 word essay on the themeof why is card-check certification an important issue for working families and their communities?

A panel fo 3 judges will make the final selection.

Applications are available at the Labour Council office or on the website at www.laboutcouncil.ca

Deadline for applications is Monday, June 2nd, 2008.
